Connection with God in Prayer

Recently, I have been experiencing difficulty in connecting with God.  I would faithfully go to my study and sit down, read the bible, and then tried to pray.  What I discovered was that I was actually letting my thoughts wander to wherever they desired to go.  My actual time in prayer was next to nothing.

I felt that The Lord showed me this, and gave me an idea from scripture.  

And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” (Mark 11:25 ESV)

It struck me that in this passage of scripture, Jesus was assuming the posture of prayer as standing in this case.  So this morning, I tried it. I stood.  I felt an instant connection with God, as I was more focused just by standing.  Once I was in my " grove" in prayer after a while, I sat and just poured out my heart to The Lord.
